Zig Zigler on Goal
Setting!
Of all the
seminars I’ve attended on this subject I can confirm that Zig’s version is still
the most effective by far! Setting goals can be scary; subconsciously you have
made a commitment and you risk letting yourself down. In life and in this
business you must have goals. 60% don’t have them, 30% have vague ones and 10%
take them seriously! YOUR CHOICE. The 6 six steps are outlined below with
examples.
Do you have the
guts to set your own goals?
Step 1: “What
is my goal?”
“I want to earn$15,000 a month
from UNICITY”
Step 2: “My
benefits from reaching this goal?”
“WE would not have to about money again and I can sack my boss!”
“ We can change that old junk of
a car I am forced to drive around now.”
“ Our children can go to the best
college.”
Step 3: “What
challenges must I overcome?”
“ “I have no time, I work 8 hours a day, I have two kids at
home to care of and I have a busy social life.”
“ I have never been in charge of my
life before, I lack the confidence.”
“ My husband worries that he will
be retrenched but he is not doing anything about it and do not want me to
neglect the kids.”
Step 4: “What
skills do I need?”
“ The skill to manage my time
better, to make priorities and get them done first.”
“
I must learn how to present the UNICITY story without talking too much.”
“ I’ll have to learn the discipline
of attending functions and listening to tapers despite my busy life and all the
distractions.”
“
For the future of my family I need to get organized.”
Step 5: Who
can assist?
“My
sponsor PAT was in the same situation as me 2c years ago and she is Eveready to
help.”
“And Pat’s sponsor Jim has been very
supportive.”
“ I need to be linked to mother and
the mainstream.”
Step 6: What
is my plan?
“ I’ll get my sponsor to do and NPO
for me.”
“ I’ll make 5 calls a day.”
“I’ll attend all functions.”
“ I’ll ensure at least one new
prospect of mine are at the BOMs weekly.”
“ I’ll find one new builder a
month.”
Step 7: What
is my completion date?
I will at $5,000 by_______, $10,000
by________ and $15,000 by_________.
